Thanks for submitting the post @scriptedending !

I did like this one - my Dad played a lot of Talking Heads when I was growing up, so I loved having so much of them in this video. I love all of his countdowns, I think the way Ehrlich ties up the themes in the songs to the visuals from the movies he uses in his videos is so extraordinary. If I could figure out how to do it, I would want to all the time!

My favourites I think are 2014, 2015 and 2017, but when I'm sad and need cheering up I'll watch a load of them in a row, they never fail to cheer me up! Well, 2014's ending makes me sad ('Fare Thee Well' always gets me) as 2014 was the year I moved to France. #3 Inside Llewyn Davis was the last movie I watched before I moved, and #2 The Wind Rises was the first movie I saw when I was settled in France, so that one always hits a bit differently for me, emotions wise. Not to mention #1 that year is Before Midnight, and I adore that trilogy. 2015 when he does the juxtaposition of 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' and Mad Max Fury Road ("we are not objects") is absolute perfection, as is 'I'm Every Woman' over Un Mujer Fantastica another year, 'Love My Way' over the clip from Foxtrot fits so well. 'Speak Low' (from the 2013 one I think) is just heartbreaking, even more so when you have seen both Phoenix and Carol and understand the context of the shots he uses from both films. The ending of last years with Portrait of a Young Lady on Fire was also so so great.

If it isn't clear, I could talk about these videos for hours. <3
