Sure...but you disapprovingly noted that ONTD is being dismissive of his (actual? potential?) feelings regarding his ex "hooking up with someone TEN YEARS younger than her". All caps, even!

You think we should be more sympathetic about that - my question is, why expect people to feel sorry for Jason over the Olivia/Harry age gap when he's shown that he's also perfectly comfortable dating people 10 years his junior & doesn't find it morally objectionable or scandalous? And if he does find it objectionable now that his ex is doing it - well, hypocrisy isn't very sympathetic.

But is this just projection/speculation, or is it based on a previous article? I actually don't know why we're assuming that Jason is hypocritically salty about the age difference, or that he's bothered by it at all.

True - it is pretty weird that ONTD didn't seem to care about Jason being so much older than Olivia or hold that against him. Around here, his actual crime seemed to be that he supposedly wasn't hot enough for her.

But I agree - like in that Olivia/Jason break-up post, we should've kept the same standards and mentioned the age gap as often as we do in these posts about Olivia & Harry - Jason got off way too easy.

I'm agreeing with you - I'm catching up on old posts and it's striking to see how age-discourse around Olivia & Jason is basically non-existent (especially compared to Olivia & Harry, where that's the main topic of discussion).

We should keep the same standards for men & women, but in this case the double standard might be more about likeability than gender - Olivia & Jason were obviously far more well-liked as a couple around here (and Jason is seemingly more well-liked than Harry), so we're less critical of their age gap.

tbh, "how well-liked is this celebrity?" is probably the best question to ask if you're wondering whether or not they're going to be held to a standard.
