I think publicly giving them a chance to do the right thing while organizing an impeachment behind the scenes was fine.

I think dozens of reps have signed onto Rep Omar's articles of impeachment. If they hustle, they can get this on the House floor in the next day or so and take a vote next week and then throw it to the Senate.

Keeping it in the House until Dems get control of the Senate in 2 weeks is the smart move. No need to hustle it over there while Mitch is still in charge.

They can impeach him after he's out of office. The point is to make sure he can't run again, and convicting him would do that.
