Criminal Minds lost me when they made AJ confess her love to Reid. I’m sorry, what the fuck? I hadn’t even watched that season, and after I found out that happened I didn’t want to. Didn’t watch the last season either.
Has anyone watched Flesh and Bone? We watched it yesterday and man, it was heavy. I can’t believe I hadn’t known about a ballet show w/ an ED storyline, but alas.
Oh my god it really was. I’m honestly still a little confused about why she had such an about-face halfway through w the rapist brother. Were they trying to show trauma bonding? Obviously she had a maladaptive attachment to him and he to her so I got what they were going for but the execution had me very ??? a few times
Also they walked back the love confession but it was so poorly done. They should’ve never done it. That show got so so so bad (ofc I saw every episode). Adam Garcia, Aisha Tyler and Daniel Henney were the only good parts
Yeah they’d have had to really work some magic to make me forgive that shit. It was so out of left field! Honestly CM was one of those shows that should have ended YEARS before it did.
I am tempted to watch the season Henney is in just to look at him, but a friend watched I think the whole show during the first lockdown last April and she told me they dragged up JJ/Reid again and how and it makes me mad just knowing it.
Oh my god it was so stupid! It was some kind of “fuck or die” situation, too? An unsub forcing JJ to ~confess~ something she’d never told anyone and then somehow just accepting that she wouldn’t lie. It was lazy, and awful, and I hate them for it.
Probably a good choice. I said I was going to stop when they pulled that absolute BULLSHIT on Paget and AJ in 2010(?11?) When they brought them back I caught myself up but I just couldn’t ever get into it the same after that.
I loved the dance and general practice scenes in Flesh and Bone. I would have watched multiple seasons of that weird show but I understood why Starz canceled it due to the bloated budget.
My bf was more into it than I was (which is funny bc I’m the one from the ballet world) but I kept watching because the dancing was fantastic. I knew when I saw Ethan Stiefel’s name it would be great choreography but it was also such a relief that they cast actual dancers- GOOD dancers. I’d have definitely watched more, especially to find out what becomes of Romeo and Mia 😢
