I like this show a lot but it irritates me that 99% of the problems could all be solved if characters talked to each other but they never do, and from I read of s3 it’s more of the same issues I already had with the plot.

I just finished Ted Lasso too which is a show where most characters are emotionally mature when it comes to solving their problems so I don’t know if I’m in the mood for middle aged men living out their high school fantasies through emotionally vulnerable kids rn lol.

I’ll watch s3 eventually but I’m not in a hurry to binge it.

Hah, I guess I prefer dumb entertaining drama because I tried Ted Lasso and it just didn’t click with me. I’m 6 eps in and I’ll probably finish the season at some point but CK hits differently

I agree with this. It makes me want to slap 99% of the characters.

But I also feel this is who men are, because men. It's a documentary!

lol unfortunately we wouldn't have many episodes of any sitcom then.

This was me during Kim's Convenience- the ott situations those parents would get into was stupid af because they never initially said anything.

The characters do try to talk!!! They constantly say, "Let me explain, listen to me, okay hold on if you'd just let me tell you, if you'd just listen I could explain, I'm about to explain, it's coming--" And like in all such shows, the other character screams, "NO!!! I hate you for restated reasons! Goodbye!"

(Yeah, it's exhausting.)

I mean it's toxic masculinity the show. I like how they're showing the breaking down of these unhealthy habits in a more realistic timeline than overnight.

Right? The entire premise of Cobra Kai is that there are a bunch of men out there who believe they can fix every problem using karate (read: violence) and then teach it to impressionable young kids.

I actually find it refreshing to see how little they all learn each episode. It's so weird when characters on tv just decide to be better people and then succeed in one try.
