lol, I shortened it for ONTD but the true story is my grandmother gave it to me for my engagement ring, and then my petty ass aunt demanded that me/my parents pay the "value" (appraised value which is total bullshit) of the ring, so I just gave it back. Pretty sure it got pawned for $2000 at best after all that. Yes I'm still bitter.

Ugh, I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Family can be so gross about shit like this. When my great grandmother died, my mom inherited her beautiful wood framed bed. Before my mom could even arrange to get it, my cousin shipped it off to her daughter in college. I'm pretty sure it was later destroyed.

I got a ring from my grandma she used to love that my cousins were pissed off I got. Turned out the ruby in it was fake when I had it appraised. I've never told them that.
