December 23 is Festivus, a special holiday that in pre-pandemic times was reserved for those more apt to want to embrace their inner "bah humbug" than their Christmas spirit. https://t.co/SaLyhf6WcE

It's just a good show on its own, not comparing it to anything. It's a show unlike any other, which makes it special.

When you live alone with your spouse 'Feats of Strength' can very easily become sexytimes.

My parents have covid. My dad more seriously than my mom (who is basically asymptotic). Dad is in the hospital now but the care is just keeping him stabilized. They (parents) want to arrange for care at home with a doctor. It’s a while big mess trying to coordinate it and because of their covid status, I can’t even do much more than pick things up at the pharmacy. Can’t give a big and can’t talk to him.

It’s also really hard trying to get things arranged so close to Christmas. It’s just a mess.

thank you for the kind words. I am sorry to say that my dad did not make it, but he was able to be with family and not alone in a hospital room, so he had peace at the end.

Mine has to be the unwillingness of non black ppl to engage with their individual and collective anti blackness.

The fact that so many ppl cast votesfor trump is truly disheartening and really made me evaluate some friendships with people not doing enough

And by the time July hit, yt ppl were exhausted.

Maybe one of the black ppl lynched next year will get yall to care again lol.

But I no longer have faith in non black ppl that I don't know well.

I'm so lucky and I have a lot to be grateful for this year.

THAT SAID, my grandmother sent me a Christmas package and it's still somehow in transit, almost a week later? I want my presents dammit!

And, you know, people refusing to wear masks and socially distance. That's a big one too.

My package sat at a warehouse for two weeks and finally came in the mail today. It was so weird.

I ordered something for my sister from Barnes and Noble at the beginning of the month and had it shipped directly to her, and it's been all over the place and has no estimated date of delivery, so she's definitely going to get it after Christmas, boo.
