I don't blame people for believing in any deities because religion and overall theism still is heavily socially conditioned and enforced from childhood until this day.

But believing in a deity shouldn't be equivalent with promoting and enabling bigotry. If there's any credit to be given to Christianity in particular, is that the religion has been able to reform itself and now plenty of denominations embrace social justice and LGBTQ acceptance (those churches/denominations are still perhaps a minority and significantly avaiable only in first world countries, and there's issues like when progressive churches might refuse to address systemic issues within Christianity, but I think that's a whole other topic).

These people though, they are choosing to endorse a homophobic church when there's plenty of other options. Disgusting.
