I was in a student play in college where I had to perform a meltdown over my dead husband's body while ranting about all the fan theories about Lost.

I say this in like every Lost post I make it to but it came at the perfect time for me--the LotR movies were over and I needed a new obsession (and it was actually the LotR connection that got me to tune in--TORN.net kept advertising it because of Dominic so I was like ehhh I guess I'll watch the pilot, and ofc I was hooked). And also within the landscape of TV (which the trailer kind of touches on), heralding serialized drama etc. (before LOST I remember it was just reality TV shows and game shows that were popular). Plus I've never had cable so I'd never seen a show like it on network TV before.

The last season doesn't exist!!

Your comment about the LOTR lead-in is exactly how I started watching the show lol. So many of my friends were watching it and it was so fun to speculate about what was going on.
