I remember loving the first two seasons of OUAT, the special effects were AWFUL but the show had this energy that I only remembered feeling when watching movies, never tv shows. It was so fun.

I loved the crappy effects! It gave it its own quirky essence if it makes any sense. It really was a lot of fun! If it lasted 3-4 season it would have been such a great show in general

they had pretty good costuming in that first season.

Yes, the first couple season of OUAT had a darker tone and a more cinematic style. It's a shame it devolved into a soapy mess with hamfisted Disney movie tie-ins in place of a plot.

I remember losing my shit when it was revealed that Ruby was the Wolf AND Red. I thought it was a criative little twist, and S1-S2 were full of these. It was so exciting figuring out who was who.

Plus: It got tiring after they couldn't decide if Regina/Rumple were meant to be villains or heroes. They always "redeemed" these characters, only to make them go bad again, in an endless loop. S1 was simpler.

We didn’t even watch the final season. It was too far gone by that point.

i could sorta tolerate that, what i couldn't stand is just how every single person in every goddamn parallel universe and timeline is somehow related to rumpelstiltskin. and his relationship with belle was super gross.

honestly, rumpel should've died after season 3 (is that the peter pan one?).

I really liked that show until I couldn't take watching it anymore. I actually liked OUAT in Wonderland better.
