Smallville, despite the massive cheesiness of it all also had a good pilot. I would say Sleepy Hollow.

I definitely agree about Sleepy Hollow. I remember seeing the commercials and thinking it would be dumb as fuck which made me curious enough to watch. Then the pilot hooked me.

I still remember Sleepy Hollow at SDCC and thinking "omg, this is so dumb, they are making a tv show where Ichabod Crane gets resurrected in the present? That is SO dumb, it will be canceled immediately". And then the day after it premiered there was a post for next episodes and there were like 600 comments and everyone was raving about it!!

Sleepy Hollow season 1 was flawless and it really needs to be rebooted and done correctly this time, damnit!! Justice for Ichabbie!!

I'm still in awe over how they could fuck up that show.

They had everything to make a hit, if they'd just kept the focus on Abbie and Ichabod. They could have milked it the way other shows do with the "will they won't they" relationship. It would've been a piece of cake. "will they/won't they" can carry a show for 7 or even 10 seasons.

How could they be so fucking dumb? They had it in the bag.

I still get so mad about this show. They just never thought an audience could care about a black women or she could lead the show. I will never not be mad about this show. It was my favorite.

I've seen too many tptb go fuck those stupid fans, we don't need them. For some reason, some idiots in charge really hate shippers or fans that get attached to characters other than their fave and go to such lengths as to actively turn them of the show. They think they're so great their show will be even better without the wrong kind of fans.
