Harper didn't listen and then guilted her girlfriend. I'm glad you included Amanda the Jedi's review because I watched that after the movie and I felt things.

And Harper didn't even want to come out until she was forced against the wall.

I know the ending was nuts! I can't believe they had her stay with Harper. And I hated that they brushed over what Sloane did!! Just no mention to her outing her sister.

Mackenzie Davis is a beautiful girl (first loved her in Halt & Catch Fire) but as soon as I saw her hair in this movie & those bangs I just knew I wanted nothing good for her character.

I wish it wasn't about the usual closeted gay (we have enough of those stories) but it was another typical Christmas story so I didn't take it seriously.

I wish it could have been about her parents knowing their daughter was a lesbian and wanted her to go back to Riley but then Harper brings Abby as rebelling, Abby meets Riley, sparks fly and it's now a love triangle. . . during Christmas.

movie wasn't perfect and I am not a romantic comedy person, but I liked it a lot! yes Harper/her family sucks but that was the point, so many people go through this exact situation and I'm glad to see it depicted on screen. now we can have more of these movies in the future that aren't so cliche!

Very true! I loved the movie but it also made me feel a bunch. I really related to the experience of the family so much and how critical and petty they were to each other. I hope they make more like this too!
