Yea I remember Taylor getting a lot of grief in the beginning but it’s clear years later that this music means a lot to her

Yeah even in the beginning when admittedly I was like "???" at her new band schtick, I still enjoyed the music and she seemed to be really loving what she does.

I was trying to find more women rock and TPR kept coming up and I liked them then and I liked them now. A few of her first songs were a little OTT to push her away from Gossip Girl, but after that they were good.

Idk I actually like her music at the beginning (zombie forever) but then it got too hard and one-note for my granny ass.

Lmao, different tastes. I always felt Makes Me Wanna Die/My Medicine were directly against the Jenny Humphrey image.

Zombie does go off though!

I mean they definitely were angry and dark lyrically compared to what people’s notions about gossip girl, but, overall, her sound was also more feminine and... cheeky? There was a kitschy Andy Warhol and barbie energy about it that I adored. I also liked her aesthetic when she toured with her younger bandmates before she replacing them w/ the middle aged dudes. Now her music all blend in together for me but I also haven’t really given her latest material a really good listen. She looks really happy tho so that’s all that matters.
