Dua's concept was cool and i liked some songs but found the album boring.
Taylor's album was boring, i thought she was going experimental with it but only liked 1 song.

PFA by hayley williams was my album this year.

I listened to folklore one, it was boring and I couldn't tell the songs apart from each other

Dua’s album was fun for me when it came out! But it had some songs that don’t really fit/stick out awkwardly and better albums in 2020 came out afterwords so I went from loving it to just liking some of it

dua has no stage presence or vibe in music videos aside from being vacant and hot so her concepts always feel unfulfilled to me

Folklore was Taylor gentrifying an entire genre with too many songs that sound alike and bland.
Give me Fiona Apple or else!

why would you use that word to describe what a white woman did to another white woman

gentrify is an interesting choice of words here

ia with your word choice here actually. almost all mainstream folk is a capitalist venture detached from why folk music exists (especially american folk which came from both black and white musicians and communities) so...yes, gentrification.

yeah I didn't like Future Nostalgia when it came out like it was cute for her but it didn't do anything for me. Then Kylie dropped DISCO and I think that did everything Dua and them though FN was doing.

Folklore was a good album that could have been an amazing album had Taylor removed at least 5 songs that were just filler. The album was unnecessarily bloated and by the 7 or 8 song, there was like 15 minutes of a repetitive sound and theme.

PFA was my most played this year
I think people slept on it because of the lack of promo
It holds up so well
