Same! I finally binge this show last year, and was so excited about the new season before covid happened, but ever since I heard America wanted to quit the show, I just knew the show would suffer without her, and it did indeed. I didn't really care for how her character treated Jonah, leaving like that. How awful. Plus, she's the lead character. I knew it'd get canceled.
agreed, since they worked in the pandemic I figured they might use that as a reason to have the two be long distance first. Like Amy goes to California first and when Jonah wants to follow hard lockdown hits and he can't leave. I get that she was scared of marriage making her feel trapped again, but I'd rather see them work through that. As Jonah said, they've been living together and raising a kid together, so while moving cross country together is a big step it's not like they weren't pretty serious already.

mte. i was so upset. i understand how amy's cautiousness regarding marriage and commitment considering her life; however, i just really couldn't empathize with her character suddenly wanting out. they were practically a married couple at that point (without the papers). jonah was literally helping to raise their/her new baby and connecting with emma in a real way while she was moving up the corporate ladder
Bummed that it's ending but it had a great run. I can say I'm glad they didn't let it run itself into the ground and left on a semi-high note in terms of quality!
I like how Amy just is all "Yeah, bye tho." But I miss America way too much, it's not the same without her that's for sure.
