I heard a snippet (not the whole thing) last night on IG and kept thinking why she hasn't been using this voice from jump buuuut she purposely went for that baby-doll voice from the debut.

Yeah this singing voice suits the musical direction she wants to go to. I like it. Although my favorite is still her sultry voice she used in the Paradise era.

I may be one of the minority here but her voice is one of my faves that came out in the past decade and she’s given us several types of singing voices through the years come to think of it - baby doll pop princess, sultry, alt rock, jazzy, broadway-ish, airy, folk... did I miss anything out? Lol.

Yeah Lana's voice has been all over the place. A lot of the criticisms about it I can get but when she commits to it she does well.

She pretty much "acted out" the LDR persona into her songs when she come out so I got what she was trying to do.
