My city thankfully canceled every of the usual food/muled wine booth as far as I know and we have like 4 or 5 booths close to where I work that have like wood work from the Erzgebirge and tree decorations. So nothing that will garner huge crowds and they spread them well. I worry most about careless family get togethers the most I think. Christmas shopping I just don't know, I read somewhere it was advised to try and shop during the week to not make Friday and Saturday the usual peak days, but I don't know how many people can actually do that.
I wish they'd at least had put their foot down for New Years Eve and said no fireworks anywhere (I mean I wish that shit was done for good in private anyway, but I don't know if I'll see that happening in my life time -.-). I have the same problem as you, I work in person and up till the 23rd, I can't quarantine myself, though I social distance outside of work as much as possible.

Yeah I just think people shop every weekday afternoon not just the weekend. It always seems packed.
And yeah I could live without fireworks too. Poor hospital workers having to deal with the injuries of people lighting one in their hand and what not.
