of course they do. it was their white managers who probably told them it was a good idea. its their same white managers who will tell them "dye your hair dark brown, the market for Latinas is exploding!!!"

i feel like lying to get a part is so common (yes, i speak french; yes, i totally know how to ride a horse; yes, i've taken martial arts so i can do my own stunts), but i think it absolutely fucking BANANAS that people don't realize FAKING A DISABILITY is not even in the same realm. like, okay, maybe you thought "i'll just take a remedial language course" or "i'll hit the gym really hard for a few months" or w/e to prepare for the role, so lying was justified. it's shitty, but i at least get where those people are coming from. but you can't...study your way into a disability...???????????

like the GREED that is displayed by people trying to take roles from folks who are criminally underrepresented is obscene. and the naïveté of believing you wouldn't be found out... lmfao... the incompetence...
