Isaiah Washington attempts to come for Katherine Heigl

This woman once proclaimed that I should ‘never’ be allowed to speak publicly again. The world agreed with her proclamation back then and protested for my job and my head in 65 languages. I wish I was on Twitter in 2007, because I will NEVER stop exercising my free speech. pic.twitter.com/fQ6L1zfQRR

from what i remember, did Katherine Heigl actually do anything that wrong? it just seems like she gets shit on for being blunt and usually blunt for the right reasons. blunt in defending her friend from homophobia and blunt about shitty and/or sexist writing.

Im not really sure why ONTD insists on this narrative regarding her and GA lol. The TL incident is one thing but what put her in bad graces was her shitting on the show, while being awarded for it, during a time where her character was being favoured. It felt like, and still does read like she thought herself above the show.

i understand people think shes a snob in regard to GA, but i dont really understand the hate that comes with it. like shes a bit haughty but i would be team haughty over team homophobic.

Bc theres no "teams", the incidents are fully separate esp by timing. THEN she left the show in a fairly positive way (like i was young at the time and havent rewatched but i still remember much more of her character arc than Meredith's...who is the main character), and went on to have a fairly successful career until she did the same w other movies she was on lmao.

If she did the same in this era she'd probably get blasted even more, bc it never read as sincere it always read as her wanting the credit of knowing that something was problematic but still choosing to participate enthusiastically and repeatedly.

i mean there are tho? just take the first comment of this post lol. and i dont even mean each ones treatment at the specific time it happened, more so the aftermath of it all up till now. its just weird he was welcomed back to the show while she still seems blacklisted.

and i wonder if her comments taken now would actually be more well received/supported or if it would be more along the lines a la jameela jamil.

Your comment has nothing to do with those two comments lol, people "shit on her" for thing outside of this incident. And i also wouldnt compare "shitting on" to the dynamics of the set.

what do you mean lol? my comment is saying from the aftermath of it all it just seems like she gets overly shit on to this very day when it doesnt feel like what she did was that bad to justify the long lasting contempt.

errrr DID SHE THO? They essentially wrote Izzie off as a very selfish character and while I don't agree with Katherine shitting on the show, she was getting some AWFUL storylines in the last two seasons and fans were noticing.

Right? How is this a question?

Maybe because the stuff she said back then is widely accepted as the truth? Remember when she complained about the inhumane work hours she, and the rest of the crew, were subjected to? And everyone said she was an entitled diva??

And just last month Ellen Pompeo did an interview where she discussed the same situation: https://metro.co.uk/2020/10/28/ellen-pompeo-greys-anatomy-cast-feuds-bad-behavior-caused-long-hours-13496991/ and nobody was calling her an entitled diva??

She wasn’t wrong defending T.R. but criticizing the writing of the show was probably a bad move since it was during the 2007 writers strike.

She said she wasn’t gonna submit a consideration for herself supporting actress at the emmys since the writing was not up to par. That was during the writers strike when I think the writers were not getting well-paid(?) and trying to do the best that they could given the situation . So that was a bad call on her and she could’ve kept it quiet.

Then I think she asked for a huge pay raise and got it only to then leave the show when I think she had another season to do? I don’t follow greys much but I remember Ellen Pompeo calling her out on it.

yeah i remember that, but idk at least for me it at least seems like her stuff is more forgivable compared to shonda bringing back isaiah and he is still like this.

Yeah you could argue at why Isiah was back brought back whereas she hasn’t but I guess she pressed all of shonda’s buttons.

Theres really no reason to compare. She insulted the show and the writers, so why on earth would they want her back on it? Does she even want back herself? Does anyone know that?
