Is this show any good? The premise seems like it could go either way, but with Shamalyan behind it I don’t know if it can be trusted.

But I like Rupert a lot, which makes me willing. Then again, I’ve also heard he does an American accent for it, which I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that, lol.

Yeah I don’t know why they cast all these British people only to have them fake American accents

I lost all interest and stopped watching after the “big reveal”, which I’m not even sure if it was in fact a reveal because it felt so anti-climatic. This would have worked a lot better as a feature film or a mini series. They’re stretching the story beyond any reason.

Can you spoil the 'reveal' for me?

[Spoiler (click to open)]Leanne, the nanny has the ability to revive things. The reveal happens half way through S1 when she revives a dead dog, which means she brought back their deceased infant son by reanimating their reborn doll. Typical Shyamalan plot twist which you could see from miles away even though they tried to throw off the viewers by suggesting that the baby was kidnapped and that the cult from which Leanne escaped had something to do with it. Once the "mystery" is out, you really don't care to find out how she got her powers or what her background is. It becomes very tedious very quickly and the whole bit about the mother remaining completely oblivious to any of it is very frustrating to watch. My two cents.

Yea, I think the pilot would have made a great film.
