ONTD making me realize how low my standards are for acting. I thought Jensen and Misha were great in the scene, and Jensen's subtle facial ticks kind of *made* the speech for me.

I don’t think Misha was too bad (esp. for CW lol); i thought Jensen was awkward, but then I keep thinking what I would have preferred his face do? He didn’t have any lines, so he just had to look ~emotional~

Tbh, I only watched The Scene. I haven’t followed since S6 I believe

Felicia's acting was atrocious. I was appalled. This was the first episode of SPN I've watched in 9 years and it was ROUGH.

i think misha was great. i think that for jensen to act as much as he did after 15 fucking seasons of crying over the same type of scene was good enough for me.

I thought the scene was fine, lol. Misha at least cried and actually looked upset. Jensen seemed awkward but I think Dean was supposed to be confused as to what was happening so it worked fine to me.

No it wasn't low. They were very good in that scene and Jensen in particular was both very in character and showed why he's so good even when there isn't much dialogue. Misha's voice went weird because he stopped using his Castiel voice and just used his regular Misha voice. Jensen's "subtle facial tics" as you say, really sold the scene.

These people are just pissed off and for some reason chose like ONE part of a whole scene and made it like it was his whole reaction. If I wasn't lazy I'd post gifs from the whole scene which show all his reactions which made absolute total sense and were entirely in character.

I totally agree because I watched the scene before I read comments and it really moved me because we all know Dean struggles with feelings/needs time to process and this is a really big bombshell to just outright say right when someone you care about is about to sacrifice themselves so maybe your focus isn't on this love declaration but the fact that someone you do care about/love is about to die?? I thought Dean was pretty on-par with how he deals with shit and then when he tells Cas "don't do this" about dying?? while dean is tearing up and struggling? I thought this was a solid scene that remained true to both their characters.

Dean hanging up on Sam at the very end while he cried into his hands? That made me tear up and no one can say he didn't feel Cas' loss
