RIP. I remember liking her and Ryan that season. Thinking about her baby boy. That clip of him auditioning years after was very sweet.

I remember her doing a great rendition of Black Velvet and rooting for her to go far in season 1. This is so sad, RIP.

I think that might be the only performance I heard from her though because I didn’t watch the show live but I got this dvd with highlights from the first season

I'm guessing it's more like it blew and they couldn't intervene or they intervened & it blew again.

Edit since I didn't really answer the question: No, ruptured aneurysms don't always kill you immediately.

God, aneurysms are so scary. She was from my hometown and I remember all the news coverage here rooting for her to win AI. RIP and much love to her family :(
