I would've thought they live somewhere fancy and all the kids in school live in big houses but I suppose I'm pleasantly surprised

they live out in westlake, a suuuuper nice/affluent/rich/white neighborhood in austin so yeah most of the kids live in giant houses. in fact, i think westlake might be its own municipality which further isolates it from the rabble in austin.

Speaking of giant houses, I watched a couple of episodes of the new Netflix interior design show* and they did a brand new big-ass house and it was so bad, so uninviting

I've been here five years, work out in the Westlake area, and im still surprised at how many famous people have homes out in Westlake. the number of patients at my job that are famous or are the spouse of someone famous still surprises me.

I went to an HEB out that way after work and that was a mistake. so many trump masks and bumper stickers.

i shit on my neighborhood a lot (allandale) which is also predominantly white and upper middle class but i will give credit where credit is due and admit that it’s all biden/harris, blm, democratic candidate, etc signs. no one around here would ever put up a cheeto sign for
fear of being shunned.

HEB is the besssttttttt my ONLY complaint is that they don't have a deli counter that makes sandwiches or has a bunch of premade sides like Randall's. they are another grocery store here that I really like too (should be a few in SA); it's more expensive, but their deli counter is on point and their in-house made pot pies, fried chicken & mashed potatoes and gravy is so fucking good.

Buccees. I don't think it's anything special, but im from PA/NJ where we have WaWas which are far superior to Buccees IMO.
