it felt like the pilot for a CW show tbh
there are already people tearing it apart because it's "woke" (and some scenes are cheesy) but i liked it overall

it differs in that in the original the power corrupts them and the 3 become the villains, etc.
in this one, the villain ends up being a warlock who wants to steal the leads powers. he had stolen her mothers powers previously (she finds out she's adopted). at the very end you find out her birth mother is nancy and fairuza makes a cameo.
while the coven fight at one point they never fully turn against each other, and then come together to defeat the warlock together

I watched The Hills Run Red yesterday and it was so easy to figure out, but I really enjoyed it. I love bad horror movies, tbh.
