I didn't like Alex Gibney's Theranos doc tbh. Haven't seen the Steve Jobs one. I'm interested in this one still but I feel like it's too soon for me personally to watch

No Rebecca for me but I'm already super into Bad Hair

I agree with you about the Theranos doc. His scientology doc was really good though.

Bad Hair reminds me of that Treehouse of Horror episode on The Simpsons, where Homer gets a hair transplant from Snake

So much to check out this weekend! I don't think I can watch Totally Under Control without my head exploding, but looking forward to Bad Hair, On the Rocks, and The Witches, plus I still need to watch Martin Eden from last week.

I saw Synchronic at TIFF last year... I thought it was terrible, but I am curious to hear what other people think.

We watched Rebecca last night. I guess the bad review that I read earlier in the day set my expectations low enough that I didn't think it was egregiously awful, just... not good. It was competently made, but it didn't have any of the atmosphere that made Hitchcock's version so creepy and compelling. I didn't like the editing or Armie's inconsistent accent, there was no heart to it, and I hated how they handled the ending. But I did think Kristin Scott Thomas was a perfect choice for Mrs. Danvers.

Fave watch of the past week was without a doubt American Utopia.
