October 22, 2020 The latest episode of Lily Goes West features none other than an Italian local councillor, Stefan Marin, who was none too pleased with the actors' scandalous shenanigans in Rome - for both health and legal reasons.
“The law is quite clear - riding tandem on an e-scooter is forbidden,” [...] “It’s a breach of the highway code and a breach of the new Covid laws.
“You are supposed to maintain social distance and riding tandem on a scooter is not keeping social distance.
“Now we have been made aware of this we shall be investigating. The law is equal for all.”
The fine for breaking this law is usually €200.
One a more serious note, lest we forget, Italy was one of the hardest-hit countries in Europe when the virus first broke out on the continent earlier this year. Cases are also once again on the rise.
