Catherine Goes East: Dominic West's wife has left home, is staying with her mom
Previously on Lily Goes West, we had been informed that Catherine FitzGerald and her husband, the guy from The Affair, had fled England to stay with their children at Catherine's family castle (as one does) in Ireland.
But this is not so, according to eyewitnesses. Instead, it appears that FitzGerald flew by herself to Shannon Airport in recent days, then made the trek down to Glin Castle to stay with her mother. She is said to be "shocked, heartbroken and devastated" despite the fact that it's perfectly normal to grab the ass of a 20-years-younger coworker in a church in Rome while you visit your mutual agent's newborn baby in a trip that definitely wasn't a weekend fuckaway.
West confirmed his wife's departure saying: "She's on a work trip" while watching his son play football in Exeter, England this past weekend.
Catherine is, of course, a landscape gardener so presumably she is simply doing some pro bono work on her mom's castle gardens and everything's absolutely fine.
But if for the sake of argument it wasn't fine, I'd say good for her for forcing this deadbeat to take care of his own kids for a change.
Just in case she wasn't definitely on a very conveniently-timed work trip.
