According to new reports, Dominic West is going to play prince Charles, following a time jump within the series which will see the current cast replaced. Season five will track the breakdown of his relationship with Princess Diana (to be played by Elizabeth Debicki) and his subsequent affair with first love, Camilla Parker-Bowles, before his divorce.
A TV insider said: “This will be a prestigious casting for Dominic.
“But the irony of it won’t be lost on anyone"
