exactly, so why would layton be seen as looking older? he looked the right age while in the west end makeup and all teen shows have actors over 25 in them playing the cast. idg what the issue would be, he’s proven to be perfect in the role plus he has tons of charisma and he’d get the exposure he deserves

i still don’t see why that matters, over 25s play teens all the time in tv and movies, why couldn’t they have done the same here? layton’s playing age can easily be teen to late twenties. he is nowhere near as old looking as ross butler, but imo ross doesn’t look that old either. definitely not a teen but he could pass for early 20s

I don't see Layton doing it in film bc he very much looks like an adult now (although with the proper styling it might have worked) but I love how he's so supportive of the new guy and even posted the trailer on his ig. He's a star 💜
