October 9, 2020 Cardi confirmed she had filed for divorce from Offset a month ago. The two secretly got married in 2017 and welcomed their first and only child together in the following year. Cardi and Offset had previously separated because of the latter's alleged infidelity, but reconciled months later. Cardi explains, "The reason for my divorce is not because of none of that shit that ever happened before. It's not because of cheating," said Cardi B. "I just got tired of fucking arguing. I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye. When you feel like it's just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on, I'd rather just leave."
Offset recently bought a billboard for Cardi in weho wishing her a happy birthday. This isn't the first time off set publicly displayed his devotion to Cardi. During Rolling Loud in the middle of Cardi's set, the concert halted. A production crew rolled out a flower display comprised of roses spelling out "Take Me Back Cardi B." Offset walked out onstage with a live mic, declaring his love for the Bronx rapper. Judging from her body language and reaction, Cardi B was caught extremely off guard by the whole gesture, quickly ushering her former partner off the stage and displaying next-level professionalism and showmanship by continuing on with her set.
Off set recently proclaimed on social media, "I am [stressed out]," wrote the rapper. "I miss MRS.WAP....call her for me but private."
