The twist at the very end was unexpected and sets up the next season nicely, but the rest of the ep was kinda dumb and too predictable. It’s an entertaining show at times, but this season was not as strong as the first one, IMO.

i actually liked this season more than the first one because i felt the first one had too many edgy moments just for being edgy, this one imo had less of those, i felt the connection between the boys more real and also who would have known Chace Crawford was good at comedy?? he is hilarious as the deep, Antony Starr as usual is the stand out, i hate Homelander but i love his performance

And yeah, the twist was unexpected.

I do agree the character exploration/development has been better for some of the characters this season - love Hughie and Starlight, Stormfront was a good addition, Homelander is terrifying, the Deep is hilarious - but I’m talking more about the storylines. Some examples: Billy’s arc this season had me so bored, ATrain’s storyline kind of abruptly changed course with no real resolution, and whatever happened to the folks that escaped from that facility? I’m sure they’ll address some of this next season, and I know it’s based on a comic, so that is a factor (but I have no idea how closely they are adhering to the source material).

At any rate, they are clearly doing something right pulling that big of an audience. I hope next season is good.

I agree. This season was more about character development and it was great to give more complexity to the characters.
