they could've simply written "two OF the most influential black voices"

(no shade to Michaela and Donald, I've seen and enjoyed everything they've done)
(just how can you not even mention Issa Rae? at the very LEAST?)

I agree with you and I think its interesting you brought this up because my friends and I were having a discussion about Issa and Michaela after this gross interview Michaela did with Donald Glover. It seems Michaela is a disruptor and Issa is a innovator.

Michaela is going to push the envelope, confuse or piss people off, wants to tear the sheet off humanity itself, and as recently demonstrated(this gq interview), can and will alienate her fans a bit to get through her own personal thought processes for the sake of truth in life itself.

Issa is an innovator who has excelled in showing black women, and black peoples POVs so beautifully while also acknowledging the obstacles and arguments against her as a black woman in society, and manages to foster community for POC in Hollywood at the same time.

They are both brilliant. I’m glad they are both here to stay and I’m curious in how their careers will unfold.
