ugh, that sounds rough, is it a proper nightmare then where he chases you and stuff? his exaggerated facial expressions can definitely be creepy. my one recurring dream is being late to school/a test and unprepared but it's not that bad (I haven't gone to school in almost 20 years, lol, so waking up I'm always relieved).
