I read this the other day and I disagree sooo much with calling the love triangle in Younger good. It worked at first but now it’s making the show hard to watch, especially with how terribly Liza treats Josh and Charles. JUST CHOOSE ONE!!!! Or neither! idgaf at this point, just make a fucking decision.

I HATE how the writers ruined Charles and Liza/Charles last season to placate Josh fans. She was clearly never truly all in with Josh because she fell in love with someone else while she was with him. How can all of the sudden she act like she is longing for him when that had never been the case?! Ugh! It made me quit the show tbh.

I love Charles and Liza so much!! She doesn’t deserve him at this point, he gave up so much for her and she doesn’t appreciate it at all. Her lie almost made Pauline take the kids away from him! And she looked horrified when he proposed to her. We waited so long for them to finally get together and then they tried to tank them almost immediately. Josh and Liza are good as friends but they don’t work as a couple at all. I don’t think the writers they think the love triangle is the main draw of the show but they don’t realise it’s actually it’s greatest deterrent. It makes me so sad ☹️

I don't understand either! Josh/Liza got the chance to be happy and we can't even get that. He should've been written off the show last season with his baby mama but nooo. Ugh. Plus Nico is such a pretentious douche irl I can't even stand to watch him.

Nico is soo annoying irl, I can’t handle him either. You’re SO on point. They DID let josh and Liza be happy for so long, with barely any hurdles. Charles and Liza got maybe 3 or 4 episodes max. It’s like will and Alicia from the good wife all over again. At least with that show there’s a happy fan fic au I can live in, there’s not much fan fic for younger.
When I comes back I don’t think I can handle watching weekly, I’ll see how it goes before I decide what to do. It sucks, it was genuinely one of my favourite shows when it was good.
The thing that’s so annoying is Charles and Liza are perfect for each other. What a waste.
I never get to talk to people about this show, so ty for dealing with my irate rambling! 💕

I feel your pain bb! I quit watching because I cannot handle the unnecessary destruction of Charlies for them to reunite Liza with Josh. Hard pass.

I'm so disappointed with Younger and Charles/Liza. S6 was terrible.

S6 was such a slog, I had legit anxiety watching it because it was like a train wreck every week. At least Diana is still a bamf, I love her so much.

The Younger love triangle was good until S4 and then it was SOOO clear Liza/Charles should be together. But them keep bringing back Josh, and it makes no sense, and now I actually think she'll end up with Josh.

It was definitely working for a while! I did enjoy it in the earlier seasons as well but I agree it became so obvious that Charles and Liza loved each other in a way that her and Josh never did. But the show just couldn’t let us have that! I don’t think the show understands what appeals to it’s viewers. They seem to think people on tune in for the back and forth. I’ll be so disappointed if she ends up with Josh. They’re in such different places in their lives and I enjoy their dynamic as friends but they’ve already established the issues in their relationship that make them incompatible romantically.
Kelsey’s getting a spin off so it’s probably ending soon so hopefully they can fix things. But tbh I think it might be too far gone.
