In its new season, #TheCrown tackles the saga of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer. For V.F.’s digital cover, @juliewmiller speaks with actors Emma Corrin and Josh O’Connor about portraying one of the most famous (and ill-fated) couples of the 20th century: https://t.co/Og21xAO3Sm pic.twitter.com/lED7DoEyn8

'Princess Diana delivered a jolt of electricity to the British monarchy when she began dating Prince Charles in the late 1970s-and she serves the same function in the fourth season of The Crown. As played by Emma Corrin, the tragic figure is everything that Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman), Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor), and their blue-blooded relatives are not: warm, down-to-earth, in tune with pop culture, and naturally charismatic. Her coming of age partially frames the Netflix drama’s fourth season, which premieres November 15, and covers a span of time from 1977 to 1990.'
