He's just a user. If you've been paying attention (and her die-hard fans have been), he came into her life when she was getting out of a dark period and it really seemed like he took advantage of her vulnerable state. Since she's been with him, she's basically promoted him left and right, all of his different projects, "businesses," ideas, etc. He photographed on one of her magazine covers ("Wonderland") and the photos were so not good. She's clearly gotten her PR team to do puff pieces for him left and right. She's also dropped a bunch of people (including long time hair, make-up, stylists, friends, projects -- like Daisie--the app she helped to start up with a long-time friend Dom, coincidentally where her bf was working when she met him, what a coincident... not!) since getting with him.

She also has moved to Paris recently, which wouldn't be a bad thing except that won't do anything for her career which you know is kind of doing ZILCH right now. But, oh, Paris is the fashion capital of the world. Oh, and guess what, her boyfriend's main industry interest is fashion. Yeah. Again, coincidence? I think not. He's just given off red flags with Maisie all along and girl has so many self-esteem issues, I fear the a-hole just feeds into them left and right. I know I shouldn't care, but geez, I've literally watched her grow up, I can't help it.

I agree that moving to Paris sounds like a bad move (for an English actress). If I was her I'd stick to Brit productions for a while and build up a career there for a bit. However, that high fashion stuff can actually help her career as an actress. Being seen out and about on the red carpet in fashionable clothes & scoring brand endorsements really helps actresses incomes, and thus affords more freedom to take lower paying, but more interesting indie projects.

I hope her man isn't like that, but IDk, she's young, and I imagine she'll eventually get tired of footing the bill for his whims after a while if that is the case.

The thing is she doesn't have to live in Paris to do high fashion stuff. She was already a fashion darling even before him, and she was already going to fashion weeks, and such. Paris and such is so just for him. Now, she's spouting stuff about learning French so she can be speak French in movies, and I'm like 'Maisie, uhm, ok."

I keep waiting to hear the news that she's woken up and dumped his using ass. She's young, hopefully she figures it out soon.
