Sienna Miller and Chadwick Boseman started together in last year’s thriller, 21 Bridges. Sienna tells Empire Magazine that Chadwick helped her get the part of the detective Frankie Burns.

Sienna said that Chadwick was one of the producers on 21 Bridges and he reached out to her and offered her the part. Sienna said that she wasn’t looking to work at that time but she wanted to work with Chadwick.

Boseman fought for Miller to receive a higher pay packet for joining the film. Boseman also donated part of his own salary to increase her fee. Sienna said that she wasn’t sure if she was going to tell this story but she wanted to show “a testament to who he was.”

“This was a pretty big budget film, and I know that everybody understands about the pay disparity in Hollywood, but I asked for a number that the studio wouldn't get to. And because I was hesitant to go back to work and my daughter was starting school and it was an inconvenient time.” Miller said. “I said, ‘I’ll do it if I'm compensated in the right way.’ And Chadwick ended up donating some of his salary to get me to the number that I had asked for. He said that that was what I deserved to be paid.”

Sienna said Boseman’s “generosity and support was unprecedented in the industry.”

“It was about the most astounding thing that I've experienced,” she said. That kind of thing just doesn't happen.” Sienna said that Chadwick told her: “‘You're getting paid what you deserve, and what you're worth.’ It's just unfathomable to imagine another man in that town behaving that graciously or respectfully.”

Sienna said they she has told other male actor friends what Chadwick did and they “all go very very quiet and go home and probably have to sit and think about things for a while.”
