The things that you listed are the things that are preventing her from truly being celebrated as one of the greats. I feel like that outside her music and performances the general public really cannot relate to her because she’s so impenetrable. I always think of the drag race/snatch game Beyoncé bombs where time after time you’ll hear Ru say Beyoncé is not very funny and she doesn’t have a personality. That sums it up really lol.

i obviously love beyoncé because duh, but the destiny's child drama + beyoncé play who was playing diana ross irl as deena jones, a character based on diana ross had me cackling even before i hit puberty and became a real person lmao

though, matthew was orchestrating all the mess ultimately, but it was fun to read about
