in the past few days i've watched:
lost soul: the doomed journey of richard stanley's island of dr. moreau, which was v good, would recommend to anyone who likes docs about filmmaking
rent-a-pal - very bad, awful, i regret paying to rent it
enola holmes - this was.... fine? mbb was charming, i typically find henry cavill insufferable but he was fine in this, the story was just not totally there and it was prob 30 minutes too long, glad i didn't have to pay for it and if there's a sequel i'll prob watch it

I want to see Kajillionaire, but am happy to wait til whenever they decide to release it to streaming. And Misbehaviour has such a good cast - maybe I'll rent that.

Gonna watch The Human Voice tonight via NYFF, and Nomadland on Saturday night. I might pick up some more stuff too - I have to look over the schedule again in a bit and see if anything else jumps out.

We watched Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure + Bogus Journey for the first time last night, and I liked them a lot more than I thought I would! There's a few jokes that didn't age well, but for the most part they are light-hearted and funny, which is a nice contrast to... everything else. Of the two films, I liked the original better, but was entertained by both. Gonna have to rent the new one!

They are both streaming on YouTube Premium - we don't pay for that specifically, but we do pay for Google/YouTube music, and YT Premium comes with that. I don't even think I realized they had movies available for streaming before.

Misbehaviour is finally coming out?! Yay! I'll def get on that ASAP. Enola Holmes was cute but forgettable; I think I'm like twice the age of the intended audience.

The fact that Ava appears to be going straight to Redbox is, um, not encouraging, and of course I'll be renting it tomorrow. Tonight I'm watching The Human Voice (at NYFF), then Friday is Mangrove (from the Small Axe series), and then Saturday is Nomadland!!! 💃💃💃 Can't wait.
