Universal has won a heated auction for an Untitled Stuntman Drama starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Atomic Blonde's David Leitch (also a former stuntman) off a script by Hobbs & Shaw writer Drew Pearce. The deal was seven figures, with Netflix, Paramount and MGM among the studios fighting for the project.

This will be the third time Gosling has played a stuntman, after Drive and The Place Beyond the Pines. The plan is apparently to make the film quickly, since Ryan Gosling is booked and busy, with five films upcoming after a nearly three-year hiatus:

Ryan Gosling’s upcoming projects:
• The Wolfman (dir: Leigh Whannell)
• The Gray Man (dir: Joe and Anthony Russo)
• Project Hail Mary (dir: Phil Lord and Christopher Miller)
• Untitled Stuntman Drama (dir: David Leitch)
• Memory Police (written by: Charlie Kaufman) pic.twitter.com/LB7hKIxerL
