I've been meaning to watch Watchmen forever, I know it's supposed to be phenomenal. But I have been making a concerted effort since Lost not to watch any more Lindelof shows, lmao. I've been burned before. I think I'm finally going to cave, though.

I think you'll find it's much stronger than Lost. The season is one story and there is room to grow from that season, but it's also a complete and satisfying story. I walked away with very few questions and the ones I had mostly stem from not being super familiar with the graphic novel and not because the show dropped the ball.

I've heard nothing but good things about Watchmen, so I have no doubt I'll cave. That's great to hear, though.

It's one of the best seasons of television in a long time. And I'd also say the same about I May Destroy you so I rec that one too. HBO is crushing it lately.

That's at the top of my list after the new episode of Lovecraft Country! Just finally got Max.

I was just thinking yesterday about HBO being on FIRE. And if I'm remembering correctly there was a time where it was in a slump. But I think it's the only network giving us solid television rn.

both watchmen and the leftovers are great so I wouldn't write him off completely

I would add Leftovers to that too because its way too slept on and so good.

That is also on the list! I've got a lot to watch now I'm paying for max lol. Finally gonna cut Lindelof some slack a decade later. I'm just a grudge holder lmao

Thats completely fair. I think he learned after Lost and his following projects felt easier to digest. He's now doing 3 seasons and 1 seasons of shows so I think he learned hopefully.

As someone who hated the LOST finale (and who pretty much hated the show because of it) I loved Watchmen and I believe he redeemed himself lmao, he should just do tv shows with 1-3 seasons tops

They are two very different worlds. Lost doesn't compare to the greatness that is Watchmen IMO.

i wouldn't agree with the people saying that lost and watchmen are wildly different. the best of the watchmen episodes parallel the best lost episodes. the finale reminded me of the season 3 finale in parts, ep 8 had shades of lafleur and the constant, and he really knows how to create something engaging from the start (even thought i'd say the pilot of lost is more obviously a jj abrams thing)
