Variety reports that Gabrielle Union will host an All-Black script reading of Friends. Salli Richardson-Whitfield will direct the event.
Sterling K. Brown, Ryan Michelle Bathe, Uzo Aduba, Aisha Hinds, Kendrick Sampson, and Jeremy Pope will star as the iconic characters of Monica, Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe for the virtual reading.
No word on which character the actors will be portraying. The reading will spotlight When We All Vote, a non-partisan voter registration organization.
The event will take place on September 21 at 6/5c at Zoom Where It Happens.
