Oooh, so "Alone" the movie is as if "Alone" the tv show included a run from a serial killer. I'll def watch it!

Can someone tell me if there is a [TW]rape scene (and if it's graphic) in The Devil All the Time, please?

i just watched it and [Spoiler (click to open)] and there's no graphic force scenes but there's depictions of and conversation of grooming and blatant predation on teens.

I only log movies in Letterboxd that were released in theaters, and this year trying to figure out what movies are technically Academy Awards eligible by having a planned theatrical run is driving me insane.

My Top 10 for the year is going to be ridiculous.

the devil all the time is.... not good. i failed to see the point of it all by the end.

the box office this weekend is probably going to be awful. i expect absolute mass hysteria and panic if tenet's drop is over 30%.

I’m halfway through it and I’m kind of like “where is this going?” It’s uh very white.

from what i understand, there were black characters in the book, so there was no real reason other than racism to make it all-white

Someone I know read the book and she said that there's a lot of racism in the book, so part of me is glad they just decided to go with these white characters because if they were only gonna use Black characters to show racism, they can keep it.

Also, I thought it was funny that they tell you during the opening of the movie that almost everyone in town is related because incest/inbreed and stuff like that, lolol. Peak whiteness.

americans are always sad because they have no culture of their own, but that's just not true! we've got incest!
