so what’s different about this batman vs the nolan batman and the ben affleck batman? because it seems like they’re doing the same grimdark adaptation all over again?

well the Nolan trilogy starting with Batman begins was an origin story. And Batfleck had been active as Batman for 20 years in Batman v Superman.

As a certified Batman stan that I know no one actually wants to hear the opinion of:

Ben Affleck was a bad Batman for a lot of reasons, primarily because he was written extremely out of character but also because Affleck is garbage. Plus, the Snyder movies just suck. Anyone who disagrees can fight me in the Denny's parking lot lol.

The Nolan movies were good and honestly we don't actually need a new Batman so soon after that but DC milks Batman for all he's worth. These are based off of different comics, introducing different characters (The Penguin, The Riddler, Carmine Falcone), and seem to have a more detective noir tone though.
