-Game of Thrones unaired pilot is known to be one of the worst pilots to have existed without any of us ever seeing it (2020...give us this please). Cast and crew were interviewed for a new book that goes over just HOW BAD the $10 million dollar unaired pilot was.
-MARK ADDY (Robert Baratheon) revealed that in the original pilot that they had no one kneeling when King Baratheon arrived at Winterfell which took away his sense of power.
-Cersie was styled as a wanna Vegas showgirl with big hair and bigger furs that could rival Dolly Parton.
-They wanted to get rid of Rickon until GRR convinced him that he had an important role further down the series.
-A lot of the scenes in Morocco were changed between the OG/Aired Pilot. Viserys had a shorter bob cut of a wig, Drogo doesnt rape Dany, Dany was given a silver horse that was supposed to jump over fire but the horse refused to do so which lead them to cut the scene. The horse also got aroused during the Dany/Drogo sex scene.
-HBO Execs were pissed at how small the show felt and spending so much money to shoot overseas but get nothing out of it. One said that they could shoot in the back of a parking lot and get the same end product.
-After shooting the disastrous pilot Jennifer Ehle who played Catelyn was over it and decided to leave while HBO did not feel the chemistry between Tamzin Merchant and Jason Momoa and wanted her replaced.
-History would go on to repeat itself when the 8th and final season of Game of Thrones came out and likely rivaled the pilot with how bad and uninspired it was.
