_Tia Mowry revealed that she and her sister Tamera were told they couldn't cover a teen magazine because they were Black.
_Mowry;"So my sister and I wanted to be on the cover of this very popular (teenage ) magazine at the time. We were told we couldn't be on the cover because we were Black and we would not sell."
-Mowry: " I will never forget that.I will never forget where I was. I wish I would have said something then. I wish I would have had the courage to speak out and say that wasn't right."
-Sister, Sister" aired on Abc from April 1994-April 1995. It was cancelled and picked up by the WB, where the show aired from September of 1995- May of 1999.
