Drake, a rapper and deadbeat dad, posted a photo of his 3-year-old son Adonis to Instagram. Famous friends like 21 Savage and Quavo also posted encouraging comments

Totally. I remember someone here said that a mommy blogger who put up pics of their kids was alerted by some of her followers that those pics were re-distributed on other sites like child porn sites and she was mortified when she found out.
I know selfies and posting on the internet has became lax in these last few years but I always feel like people should still cautious cause there are A LOT of weirdos out there.
I have a friend who isn't even famous and she told me when I met her that she's trying to keep her daughter's photo off of social, which I (of course) respected. I'm just so used to my other friends who splash pics of their kids up on social media every other day.
(Hey, everyone, I expect to be fully compensated for any pictures of my cats stolen for the internet. Considering that my boy cat decided to turn one of my staff Zoom calls into a thorough nether-regions cleaning session in the background, he is READY for his close-up. LOL)
And this is why I stopped posting pics of my kid on social media. That and they’re a teenager and can make that decision for themselves. I don’t feel it’s my right anymore. Not that it ever was.
A friend of mine likes to post pics of her toddlers wearing only diapers on social media, and FB started taking them down (idk if someone reported or they were just detected) and she was really upset by that.
I mean, not to question anyone’s parenting, but I would never post that stuff online and it made me nervous to see her kids exposed like that, even to friends only. Tons of creeps out there.
Yeah, same. While I do appreciate them posting abt parts of their life that they cherish, I feel like kids should be kept off social media til they're old enough to actually have a say in it.
Yeah! Or at the very least, if you're going to share pics, at least do it where their faces are completely covered, but in all honesty, IDT they should be posting ANY pics of their kids til they're at least old enough to recognize the perils of it all + have a say in any of this.
Yeah I get the wanting to share their kids aspect but some celebs are putting their whole kids lives out there lol!
And some are straight up using for clout + branding. Idk I'd feel weird if later in life I come to realize that a million stranger know my name and saw most of life when I was a baby-todder-adolescent before I ever introduce myself. I feel like some celeb kids will maybe get affected by it?
Oh, yeah, I agree with you on the ones bscly using their children for clout and even the ones that don't post their faces, they still overshare a LOT about their lives, so I'm uncomfortable. It also doesn't help that there are a lot of creeps on the internet and the whole family vlogging scene just makes me super uncomfy for so many reasons. I don't doubt that any celeb kid won't be affected by this in the long run.
Yeah I follow some of the vloggers and honestly I would be paranoid cause like celebs they show almost the entirety of their houses!
I've always said that I wouldn't be surprised if they were to get burgalized or stalked one day (hopefully not!
There's too much comfortableness being displayed and its really unequal cause I can look inside you life, house, and day 2 day but you can't do that to me. I keep my sanity and privacy in check whereas they must have days that hits them that unknown strangers follow them.
As much I like seeing celebs posting of their kids on IG, I feel like celebs should keep them a bit more private sometimes.
