This is one of many reasons why I can't stand his temper tantrum throwing messy ass. "Waaah! Some people said bad things about me and (rightfully, as it turns out) questioning my commitment to Barcelona and how I don't deserve good things so now I wanna pick up my marbles and go home!"

I hope other clubs see this shit, because if he'll do it to the team he's been with for years he'll do it to them as well.

I mean he probably would have left if not for the 700 euro

I'm sure he knew about that 700m too; he just wanted to flex and show his contempt.

he wanted to use this clause:

Messi thinks the season finished in August, so he can use the clause that frees him from the club before the end of the month. FCB would mention that the contract talks about end of June for Messi to use the clause, so it has expired

OK, that makes sense. Better luck next year then!

I'm sorry, but I really can't stand him, lol.

I don't think he would win if it says june

According to that clause he could have been able to leave the club if he wanted if he said it by June , but because the league was postponed then, allegedly , the time to use that clause too, so that's the fight, BFC says the clause could be used until June (the original date) and Messi says it's until August

yeah, but I read some layers say that Barça has a bigger chance if it actually says june. because if it says end of the season he is fine, but if it doesn't it would drag and he could lose anyway

Ohh ok, then idk , probably that's why he doesn't want to fight in court , but still like you say, Barcelona is doing the things wrong

it was not a temper tantrum though, it's the 700m euro clause, he was ready to leave

and honestly the team needs a reform, all the players are old (for football) already and they haven't had a top team in a while

i was with this but did you read his actual statement? He bashed the president by name, said they lied to him, said hes been wanting to leave for over a year and they knew this. He is basically being held hostage at this point.

Not a good look for Barcelona at all. And unless they get him to stay (the president is gone next year) it will be a wasted season. They will be paying him a gajillion dollars in salary, he will be unhappy, they lose out on a potential 100m transfer fee and then one more year of them being totally depending on him and delaying the rebuild that absolutely needs to happen
