I find her cute
But I also think she's a bad actress, she's not the first and she won't be the last

I don't think I've ever seen her in anything I liked, but to be fair, Skull Island was a waste of everyone's talent and IDR Scott Pilgrim at all.

And if the only two roles people can attest to are Room and Short Term 12...

Oooh. I liked her in Short Term 12. I still haven’t seen Room, it’s one of those movies I just have no desire to see.

Skull Island has terrible acting but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Loved how colorful it is.

Can you please provide an example of a good actor?

I find it interesting when people say critically acclaimed actors are shit. It happens so often. I'm curious who is a good actor in your opinion.

People here are always quick to dismiss actresses as bad, I've found. Natalie Portman was another one but the tide turned positive towards her in recent years. No one ever clowns on the bad acting of male actors in every single one of their posts as they do for Brie. 🙄

You just made me realize I can't recall ever seeing a single comment criticizing a male actor's performance while I see it ALL the time for female actors in these posts. Like has it happened? I'm sure it has but not to the frequency that I can actually remember it. Meanwhile Brie and tons of other good actresses get shat on constantly while I'd like to see ONTD do better tbh

Viola David, Anne hathaway, Meryl Streep, jamie lee curtis, kate blanchett...

I wouldn't say Brie is shit, I just find her quite stiff (and not just in marvelverse)

Critically acclaimed means very little. Kstew is critically acclaimed and she the definition of bad

I don't remember kristin Stewart winning any academy awards or SAG, golden globes, etc. Idk whatever awards outside of like the MTV movie awards so I wouldn't exactly say she's crticially aclaimed in the same way that Brie Larson is.

You're kidding right?
She has a British Academy Film Awards, a César, was nominated for a SAG, was nnominated at sundance, won at dauville...

I think she's a good actress, but Marvel isn't really about acting as it is about charisma. Like who is actually a good actor in the avengers? (not many, if any)

Like most people said w/ I agree with- she's great in Room and Short Term 12 which are very dramatic roles, and I thought she was also good in Scott Pilgrim where she plays a ~*cHaRacTeR*~. She's cute and charismatic and fun to watch in her youtube videos, but her charisma doesn't necessarily translate when she's acting, if that makes sense.

I find her adorable but I didn't find her good in anything I saw

Most marvel actor are pretty bad

The brits are pretty good (Ben, double tom...). RDJ is good. The rest are like many actors these days: doing the minimum

That’s interesting, even though I liked her in captain marvel I would say I found her more charismatic in United States of Tara and even that crappy movie she did with Rooney Mara. It might just be that she’s able to bring out the charisma more with some characters idk.
