Remember during Selena’s Hollywood Star ceremony he got so much love from the audience and her family looked so damn bitter? Lmaoooo great times. Anyway, they should lighten the fuck up, Selena loved Chris and he clearly still loves her. So what if it doesn’t make her look like the squeaky-clean image they keep projecting out there? Lmao.

I don't get it- there's no reason to think Chris would ever do anything to disrespect Selena or her legacy. He still clearly loves and adores her.

The WoF ceremony was hilarious, her family was so mad about it, especially when he was brought forward to pose by himself with her star.

This is so grimy!! They act like Chris has been exploring Selena's name and image for decades, but that's been THEM. Chris signed away nearly all his rights to Selena's family without a fuss and they act like it was a knockdown, dirty fight that took 10 years. He's been gracious, quiet, and frankly, unobtrusive. The insistence of trying to erase him from Selena's life and legacy is fucking cruel like AB senior didn't put her face on fucking prepaid debit cards.

Do they blame him for Selena's death? That's the only thing I could imagine that would incite so much meanness.

The signing away was extra shady because Selena's father made him sign away his rights days after Selena died. Chris has admitted he was grieving and didn't understand what he was signing.

“Two months after his daughter’s death, her father, Abraham Quintanilla Jr., created an estate agreement that gave him the exclusive rights to Selena’s name, voice, photographs, her story, and other rights in perpetuity.”

It says Chris agreed to the agreement and he will receive 25% of the profits. He later said he signed it under duress. But I’m still surprised that Abraham was able to do it, wouldn’t all of Selena’s earnings/property go to her husband? Even without a will?

How frustrating, it's honestly disrespectful to her and her memory.

If they loved and cherished Selena they would honor and embrace the person she loved up until her death. This is so sad to me.

Wow, Selena was only 23 when she died. :( I remember her being much older, I guess due to the movie.

This is sad. If Selena loved him and he treated her right while she was alive, they shouldn’t treat him like this.

I didn't realize that either. How sad. That age is still a child in my eyes tbh.
